About

Dr. Pottenger is a native of Boise, Idaho, and graduated from Borah High School. She attended Idaho State University, where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree. She went on to attend dental school at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and graduated in 2013. In 2017, Dr. Pottenger joined Dr. Fethke as an associate, then purchased the practice from him when he retired in 2021.

Her favorite thing about the practice is their amazing team and the exceptional care they provide each patient. Dr. Pottenger brings a passion for occlusal health and preventive options to help patients protect their teeth and improve their lives.

Dr. Pottenger is married to her husband, Danny, who is a respiratory therapist. They have three kids.

Kim graduated with her associate degree in biology and dental assisting certification from Boise State University. She went on to get her bachelor’s in dental hygiene from Ohio State University. She is also a certified life and health coach. She joined our team in August of 2006 as a dental hygienist and has since become our practice manager. She loves connecting with patients and building a relationship with them. She is passionate about preventive health and wellness and loves the amazing team of people she gets to work with.

Kim has been married to her husband for 20 years, and they have three amazing kids together. Outside of the office, she loves to camp, travel, cook and work out.

Sarah joined the High Desert Dental team in March of 2020. She enjoys helping patients through the scheduling process and handling the financial aspects of their dental care. A few of her responsibilities include making sure all accounts, ledgers and insurances are all correct.

Sarah has two beautiful twin boys, who are growing like weeds. She also has twin boy kittens, Ace and Miles, who her family adores. She loves boating, fishing and camping on summer nights.

Jessica loves the dental field and has been a part of our practice since 2006. She started as a dental assistant and then moved over to the front office in 2015. She graduated from Borah High in 1994 and then went on to graduate from the Institute of Healthcare Technology in 2000. She loves the wonderful team of people she gets to work with. She helps wherever she is needed and is always striving to learn new tools and techniques to accomplish tasks.

Jessica is married and has two sons. Her oldest is 19 and is attending BSU, and her youngest is 17 and a junior in high school. In her free time, she enjoys camping, reading and hanging out with friends and family.

Monica graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado in photography in 2001 and then went on to achieve her dental hygiene degree from Carrington College in 2010. She joined our practice as a full-time team member in 2015, but she was here part-time for years prior. She loves how fun and awesome her team is, and she is grateful to be able to work with so many talented and supportive women. She provides quality patient care and loves to educate them.

Monica has been married for 20 years. She has two kids and three English Bulldogs, two of them rescues.

Jen became a dental hygienist in 2016 when she graduated from Carrington College. Prior to that, she had been dental assisting for 16 years. She became a part of our practice in 2000. She loves her team and that they all put their patients’ needs first. She loves watching their young patients grow up from childhood to college. She always makes patients feel comfortable and at ease while still providing the best care possible. She is very personable and kind.

Jen loves her family, and they are the reason she works so hard. They are her everything and drive her to be better every day. She enjoys camping, fishing, floating the river, travelling, cooking with her kids and trying new recipes.

Brianna graduated in May 2021 from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. She became a member of the High Desert Dental team in August of 2022. Her favorite part of her job is that everyone is one big happy team that works well together. She appreciates that everyone is patient oriented and has the same goal in mind. She enjoys educating patients about total oral health and creating lasting relationships with them.

Brianna is newly married. She likes being outdoors, hiking, fishing, and having game nights with family and friends.

Iris joined the High Desert Dental team in June of 2019. She graduated from Assist to Succeed. She loves her job and the incredible team of people she gets to work with. She is always open to learn new things and helps around the office wherever help is needed.

Iris is married and has three children. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, cooking and fishing.

Maribel graduated from the Milan Institute dental assistant program in 2010. She became a part of the High Desert Dental team in August of 2022. She is enjoying the environment and how great the teamwork is. She is a great team player and is always helping in any way possible.

Maribel has been married for 19 years. She has one daughter and a Corgi. She loves spending time with her family.

Tina became a part of our team in May of 2021. She started as an orthodontic assistant before transitioning to dental assisting. She began college this past summer. She loves being a part of the health care team and bonding with her patients and team members. She is a great communicator and loves asking and answering questions.

Tina has been with her partner, Wesley, for three years, and she would not be where she is today without him. One of her favorite hobbies is taking photos.
